After the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a focus on the respiratory health of people and it has been found that common respiratory diseases (CRD) such as pneumonia, coronavirus, and more are the third leading cause of death especially within developing countries. Patients inflicted with CRD are usually required to be on ventilators but when it comes to developing countries they are faced with the issue of a lack of supply as well as unreliable electricity causing ventilators to be inoperable. This has caused an increase in deaths because there has been a lack of a non-electric powered ventilator that can be utilized in cases of emergencies such as ventilator shortages or power outages.
